From 1 October 2026, the obligation to display an additional, or anchor, price is extended to all retail products and all services intended for end customers. Retailers with a website must also publish an up-to-date digital price list.
To help our clients meet these obligations without manually updating every product, we have prepared support for storing the anchor price, displaying it in the online store and automatically publishing a CSV price list.
What is an anchor price?
An anchor price is an additional retail price that excludes special forms of sale and was valid on the prescribed reference date. It is displayed alongside the current price so customers can easily compare the current price with the price that applied on that date.
For products and services covered by this obligation from 2026, the reference date is 10 September 2026. For food, beverages, cosmetics, cleaning products, toiletries and household products already covered by the earlier decision, the price that applied on 2 May 2025 continues to be displayed.
It is important to distinguish the anchor price from the lowest price in the previous 30 days. These are not the same data and they apply to different obligations. The anchor price is tied to a fixed date, while the lowest price in the previous 30 days is used when advertising a price reduction.
Where will customers see the anchor price?
The anchor price must be displayed clearly, visibly and legibly alongside the current price. In the prepared Shape solution, it is shown at every important point where customers see a product and its price.
On the product page
On the product page, the anchor price and its date appear directly next to the current price. Customers do not need to search for this information in the description or elsewhere on the page.
In categories, search results and related products
The same information is also displayed on product cards. This includes category listings, search results, featured products and related products. The price is therefore visible while customers are comparing several products.
How does the solution work?
Two related values are stored for every product: the anchor-price amount and the date to which it applies. The information is displayed only when both values are available, preventing incomplete or unclear information from being shown to customers.
The data source is selected for each project:
- Online store – the system automatically records the reference regular price of the product.
- ERP – the price and date arrive through the existing data exchange with the business system.
A change to the current price, a promotion or a coupon does not alter the stored anchor price. Customers continue to see the current price, while the anchor price remains tied to its reference date.
Automatic publication of the public price list
The new obligation does not end with displaying the price next to the product. Retailers with a website must also publish a price list in CSV or XML format suitable for automated processing. The product price list must be updated once a day, no later than 8:00 a.m. for the current working day, and published files must remain available for 30 days.
Our solution automatically prepares a CSV price list for enabled stores in the online store. Generation is scheduled for 7:30 a.m., and an archive of previous publications is retained alongside the current file. The price list contains the information prescribed by the Decision, including the product name and code, brand, price, information about a special form of sale where applicable, anchor price, barcode and availability.
If a product does not contain all the information required for a valid row, only that product is skipped. The rest of the price list is still published, and the missing data is logged so it can be completed.
What must be checked before enabling the feature?
Display and export are enabled separately for each online store. Before enabling the feature, you must:
- select whether the anchor price comes from the online store or the ERP;
- check that the brand, barcode and other product information are complete.
For products that had not yet been publicly offered on the prescribed reference date, the first publicly displayed regular price is recorded as the anchor price, and the date of the first public offer is recorded as the reference date.
What comes next?
Support has been prepared in the Core solution, and it is enabled project by project to account for the data source, number of stores and the existing online-store design. Clients whose prices come from an ERP must ensure that the anchor price and its date are supplied as a complete pair.
